First Year Experience Student Pledge

At St. Philip’s College, we believe every new Tiger deserves the strongest possible start. The First Year Experience (FYE) is not just a program—it’s part of the culture of SPC and the way we welcome, guide, and celebrate our new students. Through one-on-one guidance, academic success workshops, peer mentoring, community events, learning community courses, and an extended orientation, FYE ensures that every first-time student has the tools, resources, and support to thrive.

As a member of the SPC Tiger FAMILIA, I understand that:

FYE is part of my first year at St. Philip’s College.
The expectations below are designed to keep me on the path to success.

I agree to fully participate by:

Attending the one-day FYE Extended Orientation.
Attending Tiger Nation Family Day.
Attending at least 1 academic workshops per semester.
Attending at least 1 SPC-sponsored event per semester.
Submitting a midterm grade sheet each semester.
Attending tutoring if my GPA falls below a 2.5

Celebrating Success

Students who complete all FYE requirements in both fall and spring will be entered into a drawing for exciting prizes, including laptops, iPads, and scholarships.
